Wondering if anyone here flew for them and if you have any stories. Never flew them (as a pax) but just wondering what happened to all of those beat up 747's they used to fly. Boneyard?

From the pax perspective, heard they were really beat up inside. Things falling apart and broken lavs., torn seats, etc.

I know the 747's were pretty old when they acquired them, mostly -100's I think.

I flew for them and yes they were pretty beat up. Beat up or not, 505 pax JFK to TLV was just a bit cramped!

Then I flew those 727s in the background....

You sir, I would say, have the touch of King Midas!

So who do you work for today? I'd like to double check my stock picks!

I flew those 747's at Tower , and it was a miserable experience. The planes were in pretty bad shape, the interiors were outdated, and it was no fun flying with 470 pax and a crappy IFE system that was always inop or only worked in 2 zones. Don't get me started on the DMI stickers all over the cockpit..........:puke:

But the layovers were not too bad: TLV, ATH, EZE, SCL, CDG to name a few!
