You didn't specify your abdominal dimensions. As I read your post, I took it that most of the fat was either on your ass or in your head.

If such were the case, yoke range at rotation would not be an issue but depending on the airframe, center console and overhead panel clearance might prove to be problematic.

Look into the provisions of the ADA; if your employer operates a widebody, you might qualify for a preferential assigment to the left or right seat, whichever your senioity will allow you to hold.

As airlines have a policy for a POS (Passenger of Size) where large people may be required to purchase two seats for travel, it may be the case that your employer would need to accomodate you in such a manner that you occupy both seats in the front (after substaintial airframe modifications) and as such would be required to pay you both Captain and First Officer pay for each flight.

While a new-hire, the first few months the pilot may still be overly round, until the stress from initial and good eatin' from the previous job wear off. Then the pounds will come off quickly for the first six months, the new-hire being too busy to eat.

Then, they'll come right back on as the new-hire figures out how to grab a bite now and then, but it's only airport fast-food. The fat will take on different dimensions which allow the pilot to return to upright no matter the turbulence, like one of those punching bags.

Did it with "Take Shape for Life". Don't know why I waited so long to do it, but I'm glad I finally got off my (previously) fat ass and did it. I've been with the airlines for nearly 7 years, and it has made an unbelievable difference in my job.
