Hey guys from Colgan! I was just wondering if you guys had a colgan forum page by any chance? Like the TSALounge or ACAForum? I just have a couple of questions? Do you guys really enjoy working at Colgan Air beside the point of Tittyjet I know what he thinks. Like what are the pros & cons. I know every airline has the pros and cons we even had it at Atlantic Coast but over all it was a great place to work. Thanks guys!

it is as good a place to work as one makes their mind up for it to be...cause if i'm here and not there, i really have only one choice and that is to make it pleasant or i risk being a burden to all those around me....so much for philosophy....

i have found this...if you fly your trip, show up on time and operate on time, i havn't heard a peep from anybody...that's all they expect, the minute you start whining like my seven year old daughter. you might as well have a target on your back.....

if I was not content to stay, i'd be and (i am) looking diligently for other work.

my personal dislike is the outstation basing and frequent base closures of which i have been a victim of.

we are entitled to our preferences. so let it be with everyone at colgan....

Hey climbhappy thanks for the advice. Same thing was at Atlantic Coast. I got along with everyone and mgmt. Cause I just did the job I was paid to do and did it happy and always tried to go above and beyond. I have a couple of friends at Colgan so I hope to be able to interview there one day. And bring my love for flying and my exprience to the table and see us soar above any other company.

flyin4jus,

if you've been furloughed fom ACA why wouldn'y you want to stay there. if you left volunteerily that's one thing. ACA has far greater prospects, in my view, even with the launch of their LCC brand than does colgan, which has limited resources and is managed very conservatively.

Some say that starting an airline is a big risk. they said it about jetblue. however jetblue had a good plan, and the most startup capital of any new venture. plus many tax breaks and incentives.

look at 'em now.

everyone knows turboprops aren't the future, so i argue that even with communities that want or need service, the cost of flying even a 19 seater in there has proven to be in most cases, not profitable. Some might argue otherwise, but without US AIRWAYS CODE SHARE, Colgan was just another multiplane Part 135 charter service. Nothing wrong with that! it's a matter of where you live, what your financial needs are etc.

the reality is colgan could be a permanent vacation for some if you were to be based somewhere like Bar Harbor, one of the most beautiful places i have seen.

I don't know what "tittyjet' wrote, but whatever it is as long as its not illegal, he has that right. The fact you know him, does not give you the right to threaten him with his identity

I think Red was saying that he will miss Steve... one of the pilots.

Hey climbhappy,

Thanks for writing back! No! I wasn't a furloughed pilot. I was a flight attendant for 3 years there from oct-1999 to oct 2002. And decided to make the tranisition up front I couldn't stand it anymore in the back. But that's why I left. So I don't feel bad, cause I'm making my dream come true. Down here in Deland, Fl. with Regional Airline Academy. Just another one day hopefully again in the airline industry can't wait to get back in it. Its in my blood, catch ya later thanks for the postive feedback.

There are few things more pathetic than someone who "thinks" they are so funny.

You're not even close to funny... and nobody is laughing, but gosh you sure think you are don't you.
