Gary said the ATA deal would generate about $100 million. That is a combination of the code share and the new gates at MDW. Herb was just talking about the code share when he talks of $50 million this year.

They are both correct in their statements, but the bottom line will more closely reflect an increase of revenue by about $100 million for the year. This is a direct result of the ATA deal.

You might consider dumping your EMB stock and loading up on SWA stock.

Better read it again. Herb clearly points out the operation was estimated to do $25-50M and now it will do better than $50M. He doesn't say he was talking about the code share only.

From Gary: Gary Kelly made the estimate, which was more than double the low-cost airline's previous forecast for additional revenue of $25 million to $50 million, during a transportation conference sponsored by Goldman Sachs.

EXTRA REVENUE of 25 - 50 mil. Pretty clear that he is not talking about the value of the gates and hangar, only the extra business generated thru the codeshare.

Face it guys, it was clearly an embellishment on the part of Gary Kelly. The gate revenue was a given, and the code-share looks to be on-line with original projections.;)

Oh come on guys, Quit playing lower IQ's flame bait game. Why are you even waisting your time .
He was the on that said "SWA will never get the MDW gates."
He was the one that said "the government would never approve the deal."
He was the one that said "Just wait for Jet Blue to get the gates, it will be purfect for the EMB."
He was the one that said "the city will never approve the deal."
He was the one that said "Dailey will never approve the deal."
He was the one that said the jetstream dies down at 8.00 pm.. Need I say more.
You can wrestle with a pig if you want. You will loose and the pig will like it.

Southwest has a history of UNDERSTATING estimations. Do you not understand that the value of the gates and maint. hangar is not considered revenue. He clearly said revenue of $25-50 mil. Add to that the value of the real estate and you have the whole figure.

I talked to Herb yesterday...

...and he said he reads this forum a couple times a week. I asked him what he thinks about Lowecur. His response: "That guy's a twit."

Wow, you're famous Lowecur.

Yeah, and he didn't think much of David Neeleman. Herb, you're never too old to learn. Sit down take a deep breath, pick up the phone and call Mauricio Novis Botelho. It's never too late.:)
