I did a google search for Comair crash and the first item that comes up is a law firm already trying to capitalize on the situation. Can't these guys just let people deal with grief before turning the accident into a advertisement opportunity.
My prayers are with any of you involved in this tragic event.

How did that Eagles song go.....oh yes....."Lets kill all the Lawyers, kill'em tonight...."

So why don't we just blow up their email inboxes? They receive 10,000 emails all saying the same thing...might just get the point across.

Sickening!

This is on their home page

Comair Flight 5191: Pilot error and crew resource management to be likely focus of investigation in Lexington, Kentucky Comair crash.

At the bottom of the page is an email link, if anyone is interested.:puke:

Hit the Lawyers in their pockets...

Hey guys/gals:

We need to keep this post alive (towards the top). The Law firms are all on the sponsored ads portion of Google (may be on Yahoo! searches as well). All of these sponsored ads are "Pay-Per-Click". Everytime you click on them, it costs them money.

Happy Clicking!

It is sick, but nothing new for them... they have done the same in the past. The really sick part is that they will make millions from it.

The best thing to do wouldn't be to lambast them via email. I'm sure they have elaborate spam filters looking for words like

sick
vulture
shark
F**K
etc

These are automatically jettisoned into the ether, unread. Now, purely hypothetically, and I don't recommend this, one way to mess with them would be to create an email account and "inquire into their services to represent you." Use your imagination. Be like a Nigerian scam, except smarter. You want them to waste their precious lawyerly time.

I really wouldn't do this, just thinking out loud.

While you're at it PLEASE find a way to bash and flood/crash email accounts at the associated press as well for daring to dig up mud-slinging inconsequential dirt on the crew's personal life as well!!!

SHAME ON THEM!!!!!!!!!!

I could think of more colorful expletives, but this is a public forum.

It's Kentucky + the lure of easy cash = that first suit didn't take long.

Lawyer: "I recommend we file suit against those with the big $$!"
Client: "Wahl heck yeah, that's why we'alls is going to sue the co-pilot! He makes THIRTY THOUSAND A YEAR. Yeehaa, it's time for a DOUBLE-WIDE!"

Not to trivialize the loss of loved ones, but at least let them cool to room temperature before filing suit.

I was in Lexington the other day. Reading in the local paper, so far there have been several suits filed. Looks like so far they are naming Comair, Delta, the airport authority, the FAA, the aircraft manufacturer, and some other company that was responsibile for marking the airport construction. The paper didn't say they are suing the crew or the controller.

They also mentioned that this looked like a open-and-shut winning case and lots of $$$ will be awarded to the families. They even had a local lawyer WARNING victims' family members to NOT accept any offer from Comair or Delta for any type of money or help--he said it would potentially reduce the vast damage money that they can expect.
