If you come to work at Options you will be making over $35,000 less then NJ and coming to a company that is in the middle of a ugly Union fight. All the other Fractionals are going to be getting some form of a pay increase in the near future leaving Options sucking hind tit in a big way. :bawling:

Options is not a place you want to consider for a employment at this time. Think about it.:erm:

Oh....oh ...oh I wanna come work at FLOPS wow It would be an honor to work for 35000 less. At least I'll have a job. Well maybe i'll come there for a type and then just leave...Yea that will work....

But if you come to Flops just to get the type and leave, don't forget you will have to get a loan. Not just because you need it to supplement your income that is the lowest in the industry, but you will also have to pay off the training contract for the type.

Not to take the companies side on it, but if anyone gets a company to spend months of preparation, and tens of thousands of dollars on their training, making them a better and more marketable pilot and then leave in a month or two. I would think that pilot should owe something to the company. But one would also have to ask, what would make a pilot want to leave a company so quickly. And as of right now, we all know the answer to that question in the case of Flops. They can't even pay their captains more than a single engine pilot at Planesense fractional.

I can only hope that will change with the new ownership. Like I have said before, they have a small window to make a positive change. I just hope they don't squander it with a small token increase that doesn't even put us on par with pay that Flex or CS got. Not because of union pressure, but because of wise management leadership. They knew happy pilots make happy customers, which makes happy stock holders.

I look forward to a cooperative relationship with a new management and a new chapter for Flight Options.

I think the Management/Pilot relations have fallen so low that it will take years or lots of $$$$$ to make them improve.

To get something like Flex or CS would be a slap in the face after all of the BS of the past few years.

We want NJ contract or Better !!!!!!

FLY REALLY SAFE everyone !!!!!!!!!!

Nice Contrast!!!!

From airlinepilotcentral.com:

NETJETS QUICKTAKE::beer:
  • IBB resulted in TA which would raise pay as well as increase new-hire bases to 100 if ratified
  • Paris Air Show 2007 orders: 50 Cessna Encores, 37 XLSs, and 9 Citation Xs worth more than $1B at list prices
  • HS125-900XP: first delivery scheduled for September
  • Hawker 4000: first delivery scheduled for Jan 2008
  • 60 Hawker 750s on order (some to be placed in Europe)
  • Presently taking delivery of 3 Citation XLSs per month
  • 36 Hawker 900XPs on order
  • 50 Hawker 4000s on order; deliveries 2007-2013
  • Fleet figures below do not include Netjets Europe or Executive Jet Management
  • NJA currently matches 50% of pilot contribution up to the IRS annual maximum limit
  • However, they match 50% of 15% during the year; NJA "catches up" the remainder as a lump sum deposit at the beginning of the following year
  • NetJets is owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway
  • This page last updated: Nov 11, 2007
FLOPS QUICKTAKE::puke:
  • Definitive agreement signed for Flight Options to be sold to HIG Capital
  • HIG also owns Amerijet and Gemini Air Cargo
  • Transition to four fleet types is complete
  • Disregard Gulfstream column in pay graphic below
  • Pilots receive trip/hotel and airline logistics via a Blackberry
  • Fleet growth will be based on Hawker 800XP, 400XP, Citation X, and Embraer Legacy
  • Pilots have 144 airports to choose from
  • Acquired by Raytheon in 2005

(I work at this sh!thole!! Someone shoot me, please!!:uzi: )

...On the bright side, at least we get our trip/hotel and airline logistics via a Blackberry. Now there's something to brag about!

We get that at NJA as well.

Not sure which is more pathetic. Newhires at flops or current pilots who refuse to leave because of what "might happen."
Do any of you really think you are going to get anywhere near a netjets contract? Way too little, too late. The flops name in the industry is MUD and getting worse (what's worse than mud?) A netjets like pilot contract will not change this.
It's a hyped internet stock of the late 90s. Toiletbrush.com "I don't care if I bought at $500 a share and it's now at $100 a share. It just has to go back up. Look at Google."
Boys, cut your losses or lose it all. The fundamentals are shot.
Of course, this is just my opinion. I could be wrong.
