Funny, you were on here not too long ago saying LCC's first offer was a shoe in.

You haven't been right on this yet.

Are you sure that's what I said or are you projecting what you want to believe??? My first take on this subject was nothing more than a mere joke go back and research for yourself..

WD.

The sound of desparation. We don't need/want this....Let's call it what it really is, a "hostile takeover."
The truth is, the new US/AWA brings nothing to the table except for some overlap east coast routes and a whopping 19 total widebody aircraft is a "lower payscale." Now I see why you folks at AWA want this so badly.
This is nothing more than a move for Parker to wipe out the competition because he knows once DL emerges from BK it will kick the preverbial ass of his airline!

The sound of desparation. WD, keep up the comedy, you're becoming nothing, if not predictable, and desparate!
I see you still didn't answer FDJ2's question, how many BKs did AAA and AWA go through?

737

These other two clowns are jokes, probably not on either property yet they have plenty of OUTSIDE information which is worthless!!!

It's you I enjoy messing with the most. You are already bought and paid for 737 you just don't know it yet:D .

Remember the BORG??
You will be assimilated, resistance is futile....

ah yes, lets see what Parker has to say about furloughs. Publically, he has said no one will lose their job. His propaganda though, hedges its bets. Here is a quote from the USAir merger website.

"Furloughs and other Fallacies:
While it’s too early in the process to know specifics by employee group,
location, etc., we do know that a merger doesn’t have to mean involuntary furloughs of
line employees. In fact, we’ve publicly stated that we don’t anticipate line employee furloughs."

Too early to know specifics? Doesn't have to mean involuntary furloughs? Don't anticipate line employee furloughs?

Wow, I feel so much better!

ooooohh wow..I read that - that is AWESOME! US Air has recalled SIXTY THREE pilots since the merger!!!!!! Wow...heck with an independent Delta...I want to merge...NOT.

Whiskey Driver - you actually BELIEVE this CRAP!??! If it were Delta buying you guys and this was posted Id be laughing at my own companies load of CRAP.

DTFL,

I can fully understand your point however this same load of doubt was cast when we went after AAA and this company has made money as a result of it. Now I have see the company proposal which is the same laid out to the creditors. I didn't see any furloughs of mainline pilots here nor did I see or hear the reduction of mainline a/c. I did see the reduction of RJ's by the tune of over 90 but that's a good thing for main line employees.

Now lets look at the other arguement of many carriers benefit from this transaction. Now smart money would be to see gates and routes to SWA as they are the largest of the LCC's. You let SWA go head to head with Airtran, JB and Mid Ex in those markets while the new mainline DAL concentrates it's efforts on international markets. Take the A330's and 767's use them on European markets while moving to 777's to LA to start pacific service.

Now that's just the start...

...

Well I have to put in my 2 cents here... WD, we at AWA do not want this. Yes it's fun to get under the skin of the deltoids but think about it... This merger would mean only one thing. Serious stagnation. We are already seeing it here with the AWA/AAA merger. And Honestly I have to agree that if this deal is consummated the new delta will rapidly become the #3 airline in the country with little if any pacific presense. Imagine NWA/AA and CAL/UAL merging. We'd have our hands full.

I predict the creditors committee will let this slide by on the 1st of FEB. Let's get to work on making the new US a great airline. 'Course the man DP is gonna have to up our pay etc. .:D

Hey Andy,

I know but this is too much fun!!

I sent you a PM

73 pilot,
I don't know where you get that AWA/US pilots are for this thing. Right now we are busy. I personally don't think this thing will happen, and actually hope it does'nt. But right now, the thing that matters to me is to see some movement in the ranks. When I got hired everybody was geared up for 300+ new hires that were to be coming. 1 month in to training and WHAM welcome to a merger. Now, after nine years at the Mesaba death march, and 2 years at AW, where apparently from my respected brothers from US, I should just remain at the bottom of the list forever, DP decides that we all need another curveball. Sorry, but I'm interested in a joint contract, a fair seniority integration, and the chance to spend some time with my wife and daughter. I've been on reserve commuting for her whole life. Who wants to move with all this SH&# going on. So not to be a party pooper but I don't need another merger. By the way, it's not classy at all to degrade an entire group by calling them uneducated. This board seems to bring out the worst in us. My hope is that we all return to profitability and see our paychecks reflect that regardless of who we fly for. Peace.
