APC shows US narrow-body FOs topping out at 85 per hour, and the CA at 125. It's criminal what the greedy CEOs and lawyers have done to this profession. These gentlemen and their in-flight crewmembers were priceless today.

It's about time the FO's name was mentioned. It was awesome that everyone got off the plane, but I'm tired of hearing " the pilot this the pilot that, Sulley this and that" there were TWO PILOTS in that plane and they both deserve credit not just the one.

I hope Sully comes out *TODAY* and CLEARLY makes that known...I only found this one article that basically had one little blip at the end (like oh yeah and that guy). It takes TWO pilots to fly a plane like that...it's not a little one prop plane...and while Sully deserves a HUGE lot of credit...it is a real disservice that they STILL are referring to "THE" miracle pilot all over the media... People are right...it is no miracle...it is the resulkt of a COORDINATED crew effort (FAs included) and the TWO pilots necessary to fly the plane!

Ditto! In order to ditch an aircraft so successfully, it without a doubt took the highly skilled action of BOTH pilots on board. I agree 100%...kudos to the Captain AND the First Officer. Both deserve equal credit for such a successful ditching.

Its about time the FO was recognized....the FA's need to be recognized as well.......on a side note.....anyone happen to notice that BOTH pilots have side businesses? Its a shame that two professionals need to have side jobs in this industry.

They don't need to! It's called Americn greed

Didn't they just program the FMS to ditch and re-engage the autopilot and then just sit back and watch the plane do an auto-ditching?

Awesome.

The FO most certainly deserves credit, however I'm guessing the Captain isn't talking to the media yet due to the investigation. Both did an amazing job. And kudos to the flight attendants for getting everybody out safely.

I have no doubt that the first public words out of the captain's mouth will be a recognition of his crew. The public doesn't recognize what it takes to come out of an incident like this successfully, but the captain does.

Chances are anyways, the FO was a Captain at some point at US Air.

Larry King interviewed Dr. Phil because he is a "licensed pilot." Dr Phil?? Really guys?

I saw that. The funny thing is Dr. Phil actually mentioned the FO, saying that he contributed to the successful outcome.
