As a pilot at Mesa I though that perhaps once just once we could have a strong hand in turning the tide in the regional world of contracts. I am so frustrated at ALPA for even letting this go to vote.

Shame on you first of all....but for the 418..... each and everyday that I continue to get screwed it will be because of you. It will be because of you that I have to have to commute under a commuter clause that states 1 time a year I am exempt for not being to get to work at JFK!!! JFK for god sakes.
Are you so stupid to agree to this amongst so many other things. B & B tied to PBS etc. You know what you agreed to. The 418 are selfish and deserve every single mesa sucks comment on the board.

Instead of blaming the 418 who did vote, why don't you bash the 200+ eligible voters who chose not to vote at all?

It's your own personal decision to vote yes or no. I'm sure the 418 who voted yes had their reasons, just as the 400 who voted no had theirs. But tell me why over 200 eligible voters didn't even bother voting? Your blame should fall on them for the outcome of this TA passing.

pilot22 go to mesahub.com to get your "400" sticker if you voted no.

exactly!! The pilot group is not ready to take on MGT. You've got 200+ guys on property who can care less about what goes on at MAG. You cant possibly believe that the MAG pilot group has the solidarity to take on the crystal palace. Not only does company culture need to change, so does the pilot group mind state as well

Generally, the rank and file pilots of regional airlines don't have the inclination to do anything and its foolish to put the world in their hands. It is up to the leadership to move the profession in a positive direction. Instead of the Mesa MEC standing up and charting a coarse for their pilots to achieve a professional level contract they hide behind their pilots unwillingness to stand up for themselves and they took the easy money and ran.

My fellow Pinnacle pilots have stood strong for over four years of negotiating because we refuse to settle for a 1990's style "commuter" contract. Our brothers and sisters at ASA made a similar stand recently. What will it take for Mesa to get some leadership in their MEC?

1.Blaming ALPA is the wrong mid state to have. You should rally behind your pilot leadership.Everyother ALPA carrier does. In the end its the PILOT GROUP that votes in a contract.

2. If this TA would have not gotten ratified you would still be getting screwed under the old CBA. So whats the diff?

3. Ive been commuting to JFK for over a year... Never had any trouble.

again..be mad at the 200+ that didnt vote. not the 418

The MAG mec have tried many time to rally this group!! Its the pilot lazyness that is the problem. I

Me: Did you got to any road shows?
Pilot: No
Me: Why not?
Pilot: It was my day off......

Me: Did you watch any roadshows online or attend a conference call?
Pilot: no
Me: Why not?
Pilot: Didnt feel like it

Me: IF this TA fails.. Are you ready to picket?
Pilot: For what? Not on my day off

Ive had many convos like this in the crew rooms.. Its not ALPA leadership, its pilot lazyness

Well it's a done deal. Pdub, the movement against the TA was the greatest level of unity I've seen here as a mesa pilot. I attended 1 roadshow and 3 conference calls. I was NOT uneducated when I was one of the 400 who voted no. This is not industry leading, this is not industry average. Yes it "could be" a step in the right direction, but that isn't good enough when you're in a race to catch up. We shall see in the coming months. I hope you are right and I am wrong.

Mesa Sucks.

I want my "400" sticker so I can point to it when I ask for the jumpseat

hey Pdub says you are not going to have any problem.......no problems whatsoever.

That's the problem with the mindset of some Mesa pilots. "It doesn't affect me, so it why should I stick up for you"

go to a family reunion pdub..you will be the first one out the door when the regionals start hiring again

Why didn't you tell your MEC to stick up for you before you lost your 900's to Mesaba

Dowhite knows i was in the trenchs of the crew room standing up for what I feel is right. this TA affects me in every way..Ive always stuck up for the MAG pilot group... always

What are you talking about? Are you talking about the CRJ-900s that were once yours? Pinnacle is only operating them for a few months while Mesaba ramps up their operation. It was never intended to be more than that. If anything Mesaba took those airplanes from Mesa.

No, it's the 418 guys who said "oh, we'll take it. It's better than nothing!"
These 418 guys are the guys bringing down the whole industry.
ALPA SUCKS!

Even though we differ on our opinions of this TA, In fact I was the one argueing with Pdub in the crew rm. half the time. I will agree with Pdub on that point. That being said I am proud to say I was one of the 400 No votes.

No, be mad at ALPA National. They go over the contract before you get to vote on it.
So Prater and his "We're takin it in the back" moto, just bent you guys over.
When will you guys learn, ALPO can give to shats about the life of a regional pilot. They just want your dues.

I don't think you understand the process. Nobody from ALPA National signs off on the contract before it goes out to vote. The only National employees that ever are part of the process are the ALPA lawyers. Nobody's making a contract without lawyers.

So can the Freedom guys start a thread about Mesaba stealing their flying ? BTW Delta took those planes from Freedom since they own them.

Thats not to my understanding. It goes across the desks at National.
And let's say I am wrong.
Then be mad at your local pukes who even put that out to be voted on.
AH is gone and you guys are putting out crap thats "The best we can get" to be voted on.
Mesa/Freedom has been taking flying from other regionals, some of those guys are being furloughed now. You focking pukes vote this contract in?
I hope a soon to be furloughed Comair FO punches you pukes in the face. You deserve it, you filthy w*************************.

You sure can start that thread. Only this time there is a happy ending because the flying went to a pilot group with some self respect and a willingness to fight for this profession. Flying getting stolen from Mesa is a good thing for this industry because no matter where that flying ends up it will be performed by pilots that earn a better wage and enjoy better work rules.
