She's still flying! ...and still has the same paint job too!

T-REX--You're kidding me? Where's it flying, Africa? :D

Twotter--People in Iowa needed air service if you wanted to go from Cedar Rapids to Kansas City or Omaha without going through Denver, Chicago or Dallas... TC

Now it could be the scotch...but I seem to recall that AirWilly flew Dash-7's a few years ago. Anyone up to finding a picture?

Heyas,

For the newbies, your efforts are wasted. To the gel haired, iPod wearing, backpack slinging, PFTing, SJS infected wannabes who cry because they have to wait until they have 500 hours to go to the RJ, you might as well posted pictures of Flying Saucers with bug-eye Martians flying them.

My buddy had an intern on his jumpseat. This intern happily exclaimed to the crew how he would be happy to fly the Airbus for $30/hr. Jeeze, this dork gets an 'F' for situational awareness.

Count your blessings gentlemen!

Any of you remember these days?

These were MY COMMUTER flying days!!

My first time ever on a multi-engine or even commercial plane was when I was in college and I travelled to a job interview on an Eagle Shorts 360.

Here's my contribution to this thread: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/309420/M/

Turns out that I was actually the PIC in that photo, which was kind of amusing. Oh, the memories...

Sweet thread guys! Sure nice to see some variety among regional airlines aircraft types. Long live condition levers!

Hauling UPS boxes around New England last time I flew it. Same paint, but you can make out about 3 defunct airline livieries from where the decals had been. :)

Cool! That was a really good plane. It was one of three that came from American Central Airlines (the original ACA :D ) in DBQ. The other E110's we flew were from the parent company, Tennessee Airways, in TYS.

I spent every waking moment trying to get out of Iowa and into something bigger. Later, I realized those were some of the best times I've had in aviation. I still stay in contact with most of the people I flew with there.

Thanks, T-REX. Take care.TC

(leave Sunday for school, uuhhh)

Oh man...I can't believe you flew for those Ram Air Clowns.

I was flying a C402 in New Bern in 1995. I remember sitting with the Mountain Air Cargo guy in the FedEx barn. The weather was the worst i'd ever seen it. Lightning...churning black clouds...

We had just cracked open a coke and were laughing about what time we'd both end up getting home when we heard a piston single start up. We both walked to the door and were shocked to see this little Cheetah go launching off into what could only be described as the gates of hell.

We both looked at each other - awestruck. You guys had big BRASS ones! That took a whole lot of guts. Looking back at that lifestyle I cant imagine that today's Seminole to RJ wondersticks would have lasted long in that environment. I sure learned a lot though -- from my mistakes AND from those of others (like that RamEx guy that day).
