CLANSINCLAIR-
I have no desire to see you in person, and i've already told you that you have consistently made bad decisions all your life to your face Iam not saying anything new. The purpose of this forum is to post threads not to interrupt my day to see you to show who i am . The fact of the matter is that the truth is really hurting you to the point that you want to beat me up. Violence is not the answer. The answer is in the logo "if you can't beat your competition join them." Please stop defending upper management and realize that they have made a huge mistake by being inconsistent again. Stop wasting your time on this forum abd try to change their mind. You do have the gift of the gab,and when you go to see them make sure you drive that thunderbird before it get's repossessed.

PCL128- IN a perfect world we would be able to sell our days off. In THE dc-9 I have hardly sold any days back. So now do you see why this pay cut is affecting me. The company is not always willing to buy days back especially when it is slow as it is.

buying days off

PCL128- I was looking at the pilot board and saw that the company is short on crews, because they are flying the friends of the pistons to Miami. They still are not going to buy my days off. Exactly the point i had made before. You can offer and they dont always buy days back.

Goaround,

Yes, I have made bad decisions all my life, and I'm sure as long as I live I will continue to make bad decisions from time to time. It's called being human.
However, that's not the same as saying that all the decisions I've made in my life were bad, as you seem to be trying to imply so poorly.

Your pathetic attempts to justify your cowardice is self evident for all who read you. Your lack of skill and acumen in the art and science of logical debate will only serve to render your unionization efforts to no effect as well.

As I stated before, I wish you no ill-fate whatsoever. In fact, I feel the utmost pity for you. I can't imagine how terrible it must feel to have to hide behind your computer alias for the lack of courage of openly claiming your dubious position. Such tactics you share with other notables of your type, al qaeda and Iraqi insurgents, Viet Cong, etc. Even O Sama Bin Laden at least has the courage to let the world know who he is.
But he is a "leader" of sorts. You are no leader by any stretch of the imagination.

Just so you know, I have and am currently trying to change management's mind about the current situation. Unlike you, I've put my concerns, in writing and openly identifying myself, directly to Chris Healy, Ray Mundt, and Fred Testa. You see, I have the firm conviction of the merits of my position enough that I don't have to hide under a rock like a snake.

I thank you for your genuine concern that I enjoy my $40,000.00 Ford Thunderbird as long as possible. It's true, holding on to it in the current economic climate will be much more difficult, if not impossible. I'm sure hanging on to the trailer that you probably live in and the "heap" that you must drive will be much easier to keep. However, I do have another $40,000.00 Mitsubishi Montero that's paid for and a Mercury Mystique that's nearly paid for. It remains to be seen if I can manage to keep the T-bird, but no matter what, I haven't, nor will I lose my dignity and character because of the situation. Whereas, you appear to have surrendered both even before the real effects of the situation have started. An automobile can be replaced rather easily, dignity and character takes a lifetime to aquire. I'll take my loss over yours anytime.

You guys are getting a little personal. Don't you think? anyway after hearing your arguments let me give you an Opinion from the outside looking in. Don't go to the teamsters or any other union at your current state of pilot unity! Believe me if you do not have a strong bond and great leadership from within your pilot group. You will just end up giving away some of your hard earned money and be no better off in the long run. The company I work for has poor leadership and zero unity among the pilot group. The current contract we operate under has no pay protection. No protection for work rules and the mediators and the union body generaly side with the company on most issues. We have a new tenative agreement which would be a step backwords in quality of life for a very weak raise. I do not blame the union it's self for the current situation. It is clearly a lack of leadership from are pilot group. There was no communication between the reps and the rest of us. Everyone biatch about it all the time but nothing was done to bring the two groups together. Because the pilot group is fractured. This was partly by design from the company buy the way. The contract we operate under and the new offer actualy benefit the company more than the pilot group. just something to think about!

Leardrvr & T-gates,

I couldn't agree with you more.

Sadly, I'm not sure the leadership and unity is achieveable here because the years of abuse and hardship has driven many to the point of resorting to a cut-throat mentality.

The very most senior pilots only hope to get through the 5 yrs or so they have left to just get out of this altogether. The mid-range seniority pilots are still hoping against hope to finally land the "big dream job".
Most, if not all of the junior pilots, are definitely here just long enough to build the time and resume to move on. They don't want to "make any waves."

That only leaves a handful of us who want to consider this company our last flying job. So without the numerical clout and genuine concern for the future of USA Jets as a company and the employees as well, I have little confidence in the idea of forming our own union or association. That's not say it's impossible, just unlikely at this juncture.

I agree that a national union isn't the answer to what we really need and deserve either. Fortunately, I believe we do have the management that wants to do the right thing. Unfortunately, the perceived needs of the company often overshadows the real needs of its' employees.

The whole siuation is depressing and frustrating for all of us. At this point, it seems we can only hope for the industry to quickly move through this slow period, and begin the job search process in case it doesn't.

CLANSINCLAIR-
Making bad decisions all your life is not being human. It's being stupid. It shows lack of judgment. It shows that your thought process does not think rationally and that you cannot manage your affairs. I have not embarassed you. You have embarassed yourself. If i wanted to embaress you i have so much dirt on you that i could ruin your reputation but i wont.
As stated earlier you have a problem with people telling the truth. I may have to get a restraining order against you due to the fact that you have so much anger inside of you that you were contemplating physical harm against me. I guess my words are hitting you harder than a fist. Please do not take your frustration out on your wife tonight. Try holding on to#5. Please try to grow up in your 50's and help the pilot group get out of this terrible position we are in.

Goaround,

You really are pathetic! You represent the worst in human exsistance.

Say and do whatever you must. I've clearly stated that I bear absolutely no threat to you whatsoever. You simply are not worth it.

At least get your facts straight, I'm currently married to my fourth wife, not at all that unusual in this industry. According to you, I have no reputation to ruin. So knock yourself out with all your "manufactured dirt".

You don't need a restraining order. You need courage, honor, integrity, and decency.

Your pitiful attempts at slandering me don't hurt me, as I have honestly and openly rebutted your futile efforts. However, you tread perilously close to possible liable litigation. Knowing you probably can't afford to lose any more of your pay, I humbly advise you to curb your propensity for defamation of character. All of us would be better served if you relied on the merits of your position regarding the company.

The anonymity of this site is only relative. Your true identity can be revealed under court order, and you can be compelled to appear in court and pay restitution for any findings therein.

Isn't that what I said earlier? :)

PCL 128,

I agree with you. If the company does buy our days off, I'd be perfectly happy to accept the current course.

Only time will tell if the current situation is correct. I hope, for all of our sakes, that business activity will improve enough for it to work.

Now that I see that you recognize that there are limits to which "sacrifices" should be tolerated, I can better appreciate your opinion.

CLANSINCLAIR-
Well thank you for calling me pathetic. Definitely feels like you are describing yourself. There is an old quote that applies perfectly to you " when you argue with an idiot he drags you down to his level and walks all over you" After you had violents thoughts about me you are now contemplating suing me. The only thing i can tell you is go ahead " Make my day". I'll even lend you the money to sue me you lowlife.

Talk about some serious dirty laundry!

This is almost as good as one of the soap operas my wife watches.

Go AROUND, you are sad. Grpw a pair and talk to the guy to his face, what the hell do you care if he has been married 4 times? At least he has a proven track record of being able to score with the ladies.

Why is everyone arguing?

Don't sweat it guys.

I'm pretty sure I read recently that USA Jet either went out of business or is going out of business soon.

So relax.

As Mark Twain said, "Rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated” So it is with USA Jet.

Cool ... I knew there was an upside to my three divorces. Thanks! :D

(Boy ... you USA Jet guys are vicious!)
