Heard a rumor over the weekend that a January clean up bid and then another huge bid in the spring. Any other ideas.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

We have a winner - the first of a thousand MOAB posts....

Yeah, I think the training letters start running out in May or so....

Talked to a new hire last week, and the word they got in indoc was a huge bid in the Feb-Mar time frame. So does that make this the GOAB (Grandmother Of All Bids)?

Actually, age 60 will be abolished and all the over-60 FEs will return to MD11 and 757 jobs. The DC10 and 727 will be hauled off to the desert by June, replaced by 757s and 777s.

Jetblue's push for 8+ block hours will be FAA approved for everyone, and the optimizer will be going haywire.

Expect 70-90 captains to be displaced to the wide FO seat. Current newhires should be safe, but no hiring for 3-5 years so plan on A reserve until then.

Fred Lobbys congress and USERRA is gutted. No mil leave for anyone not going directly to combat AOR.

(okay, okay--just having fun....)

220 WB captains. 75 NB captains. 240 WB FOs. 50 NB FOs.
Junior 727 captain DOH prediction: May 2002. Junior FO MD11--Nov 06.
