RNP – Required Navigation Performance.
– Specified navigation accuracy for a route or
departure/approach procedure in NM units
– Enroute RNPs usually 2.0 or greater
– Approach RNPs can be as low as 0.11
• ANP – Actual Navigation Performance
– The FMC calculated certainty of the airplane’s
position in NM units
– There is a 95% probability that the airplane is
within the displayed ANP
ANP does not relate to course tracking accuracy!
• When ANP exceeds RNP the airplane position accuracy is
in question
• Smaller RNPs require more accurate FMC updating sources
(DME-DME, GPS, etc)
• When ANP exceeds RNP, the airplane’s actual navigation
position does not meet the required accuracy and a crew
alert is provided

Guys, guys......he was kidding. He knows what ANP means.

For some guys, RNP stands for "retire now please" since the -200 way of doing things is gone.

Amen to that! I nominate this for the best FI post of 2010.

Auxiliary Nipple Projection - it is used as a standard measure for gauging third nipples in the international competitions that you have probably seen on ESPN 8 (AKA "The Ocho")

Sorry. Bad joke. A and P...someone who works on an airplane...ANP - performance and stuff....I'll keep my day job.

You know what's great? That you like going international, it must be nice for you to finally get that chance. Since I am guessing you have never had that opportunity coming up thru the EM2(whatever that is) and sitting sideways in the 727. As for myself, having flown a 707, 727, 757, 767 and G-IV international not to mention the C-141, I have NO desire to go overseas again, EVER. I have been to every continent, save Antarctica, you can have it. I would rather go where the exchange rate is 1=1 and English is the native language. However, I am glad that you were able to get your daddy's dick out of your a$$(and mouth) and make it out of the trailer park. Happy for you! LOSER!!

LOL!

I'm flying international too, BFD GL!
I'll trade it for LUV should the opportunity present itself
because I not only like t/o's & lndg's, I like the thought of being
rewarded for my good work (profit sharing) and having a company
culture where it is not predominantly "us against them" (mngt).
Having flown for a legacy until furlough was fine, but 2-3 legs a day
is a waste of my time, if I'm laying over I'm not making money.
I'll save the long layovers for my vacation with the family & relax
even more then knowing that my company has never furloughed
and actually gives a sh1t about it's employees.

This kind of crazy talk will only draw more LBB comments, followed by FANTASTIC.

Yep, if you've read more than two of the General's posts (or Scope, for that matter), you've pretty much read all his material. After that they are like a broken record or a really annoying parrot. FI has become much more pleasant since I put them on the ignore list. Now if ya'll would do me a small favor and stop quoting their posts, I would truly never have to see the same drivel over & over again.
