DC-9s are still flying... production might slack off but they aren't going anywhere. Airplanes last a while
 
I saw a DC-3 taxing out yesterday in Fort Lauderdale... didn't realize they still made those these days.
 
Um...cutting production isn't the same as ending production.

I was going to respond, but couldn't have said it any better than this. This is a cutting of production rate not the production line itself. BIIIIIIIIG difference.
