You might want to pay attention to your own posts. You said the East pilot group (3500) and 3/4 of APA (9000) would be 'sweet justice' victims of the West pilot group - 1100 migs.

Do the math.

8000 of them(APA and Easties combined) will retire in 10 years, leaving the 1000 Westies very senior. Yep, I did the math, and the Westies will eventually outlast all of the senior Easties and APA guys. It's called FANTASTIC for the Westies.

The math is not that hard General, the West pilots will 'inherit the earth' with or without Nicolai.

A 10 year 777 fence would likely apply to the 787 also due to the 777/787 common type.

Delta's 747 fence was only 5 years. I'm sure NW pilots wanted a 10 year fence too, but that didn't happen.

What is your source on AA pilots wanting a 10 year 777 fence?

AA has a lot more widebodies than US, and DL and NW had about the same number of 744s and 777s. The arbitrators decided it was fair to equate the 744 and the 777, and had an equal fence. AA and US on the otherhand, aren't even close when it comes to widebody numbers. (Including orders). When NW and Republic merged Republic had a small number of 757s, and the arbitrator put a 20 year fence on the 747 for Captains. So, conservatively, I would think the AA guys would go down the middle and at least protect their last 10 years, before the majority leave anyway. I'm sure they will ask for fairly long fences to protect what they have and what they have ordered prior to the merger announcement. What the arbitrators do is obviously up to them, but the current USAir is not big internationally, with a small number of A330s and some older 762/757s doing the rest.

Sorry old man....... Sounds like you can't debate any of the points anyway. Try this one: abiding by binding arbitration after you signed on the bottom line to do so......

Bye Bye---General Lee

Don't work for the East, the West or AA old man. You just like repeating that same line over and over you miss basic facts about people.

Basic facts? You mean people ON an anonymous board? Or am I missing the fact that the East agreed to a process, signed on the bottom line, and then decided to do something radical when they didn't like the award and explanation from NIC himself? What is so tough about that? What is missing there? It's about as simple as it gets, it's "Fourth Grade" trickery. It's people with zero integrity ruining a process because they are jerks. Some people, maybe you apparently, need to keep hearing the same lines over and over, to get the truth into your thick skulls. Don't sign up for something unless you intend to follow through with it. Basic stuff. If you don't, you deserve only bad stuff coming your way.

With the volume he posts and the number of flame baits he posts on so many topics, it quickly becomes evident he is a poser, or a pilot that has interviewed at four majors and been rejected by six of them. :D

No, he's right. USAPA is the scum of the Earth.

So is AWA.

AWA=0 wide bodies=about a 2 month fence.

Nah, no windfall there.

Bottom line, USAPA trying to get rid of NIC at all costs
Leonidas trying to keep NIC at all costs
Reason: massive windfall for west at the expense of east pilots
