Someone please tell me the rumors I've heard aren't true; that ALPA may consider throwing the west FO's under the wheels of the bus in order to save from being thrown out and replaced by USAPA?

USAPA will throw the west pilots under the bus. How does paying ransom and the hostage still gets it end up looking like a "win"?

The biggger question is why would ALPA believe anything that the east says? What's their track record with respect to standing behind their committments?

ALPA won't try to change the Nic itself - they're not that stupid. But they will have no problem with negotiating fences and furlough protection through the steering committee that will screw the junior west guys. This is an opportunity for the West reps to prove what they're made of.
