If you don't want to pay - MAYBE - to get home, then don't. Simple enough. Having the option to ride on Air Tran and get where I need to go works for me. If I need to 'bring out the Visa' to come home the wife and kids versus another night in the crashpad, I choose home. Thanks guys and gals.

He was able to escape shortly after he was captured. Absolutely! I am usually the first to get off the plane, rarely say hello or good bye, and make fairly dry announecements. His announcements don't exactly excite me either, but I am in no position to slam someone who genuinely cares about the people as much as he does. In my book he has earned the right to be as dorky as he wishes. He's getting close to retirement and I doubt cares about the one or two people that he offends. The reason we think it's so lame is because we do this stuff every day, those who don't think otherwise. There's more letters praising him than anyone or anything else combined, and at the end of the day their opinions are the only ones that matters anyway.

That right thar is the funniest post of the day.

I can't BEGIN to tell you how many times I've missed a DAL commute because of their ONE JUMPSEAT rule (even when there's 30 open seats in the back) and I end up spending $30 bucks in gas and 4 hours on the road (not to mention the half hour just to get to employee parking) to get home.

I'd have gladly paid $25 bucks to get on that DAL plane.

I'm not saying it's great, I think it sucks and I'll be glad when it changes to unlimited, but I think one jumpseater no matter HOW many open seats there are in the back BLOWS. big time.

Which would you rather have?

That would be him. Few of those guys are left at AirTran but flying with some was miserable. "I'll get that" etc. They are control freaks who make all the PA's no matter who is flying and at any time they want etc. They tell you how to fly the entire leg and get on the radio's and ask for vectors around weather without even discussing it with you. You get the picture. ******* is heralded around the place for making an emergency landing after an electrical fire on a DC-9. He did a good job but I'm sure he just took over and told the f/o to sit on his/her hands. When they discuss the incident in "crm" over there, it is ****** this *********that as if he was the sole actor in the event. Kind of funny.

J41s info came right off the scab list. Give us a break. ******** has done a hell of a job during his career. The guys that don't like him are usually a little weaker and can't get over the fact he's the most popular captain we'll ever have.

No good deed goes unpunished, and there's a LOT of people who carry the Scab list, along with the Freedom and G0Jets list...

He's a absolute company man who'll stab his fellow pilots in the back in a heartbeat. Just look at his history and the company he keeps.

I don't like him. I guess that makes me weak.
