In the late '80's I had a guy in my crash pad in Long Island who was a new hire. Still on probation commuting from Honolulu to NY. Seems like he was either at the pad or flying, not at home!

We had a B747-400 F/O who commuted from Spain. I sat next to him in ART one year...and noticed him nodding-off during the lecture (who doesn't?).

When he mentioned his commute, I asked him what would make someone do such a thing.

He showed me a picture of his bride...a "Miss Universe" finalist in the mid-90's.

Makes sense to me!

Ran into a guy commuting Nice to JFK.

Heard about some pilot at UPS or FDX, forget which, who commutes from Australia.

I took a skywest F.O. that commutes from CWA to FAT. Two small airports, I told him it must suck. his commute goes something on the lines of cwa-ord-lax-fat, cwa-ord-den-fat, or cwa-ord-slc-fat. and he was on RSV.

Anything all you AA guys could do to get us on your international list would certainly be appreciated. Spoke to our Jumpseat coordinator (B6) and he said we'd been working on it for 7 years and he didn't think we were any closer to getting it done than we were 7 years ago :)
