I just want to thank the 2 Southwest pilots who could have bumped me but didn't so I could get home tonight. My daughter's 4th birthday was today and I was able to alteast make dinner with the family. She was very excited to see me and I was pretty happy too! So for the capt and fo who waited for the next flight from MDW to PIT I say a big THANK YOU. It meant more to me than words can express. You are welcome on my jumpseat anytime. You are the reason there is still hope for this profession.

My wife and some of her cousins took her to the zoo and when I finally got back into town we had a great dinner. I think it was a pretty good day for her.

I have used WN as an offline jumpseater on many, many occasions. I have always been treated extremely well by all WN employees- F/A's, gate agents, and drivers alike. Even the folks on the non-rev line are always cheerful and helpful. Sincere thanks to the WN employees!!

I wish everyone would get treated this way on every airline every time. Luckily, it is for the most part... but I have to agree that SWA has been one of the best non rev experiences I've had.

Happy BDay to your daughter, tubelcane. I just had a newborn daughter earlier this week... now I finally know what they mean by "Daddy's little girl!"

Congratulations!!!!

aa73,

My "little girl" turned 9 this year. Don't say "you're too heavy" cause it won't be long and she will be. I wish I could have a redo, not because I'm a bad dad, but because I'd like to know then what I know now.

Congrats bro. You too tublecane.

I have to say SWA employees have always been awesome (except for one flamin' gay FA once) when I've jumpsat.

We get to help each other....

It works really well when we shake hands and talk to each other about who really needs the jumpseat. The suspicious stares from across the gate are for amatuers...

I too want to thank all of you at SWA. Southwest always treats your jumpseat riders very well and I have never had a bad experience with anyone from your company. It is amazing, the res. agents, gate agents, F.A.'s, and pilots are all excellent to those of us that must commute. I wish the same could be said about every company and the lack of professionalism that I see displayed. You are always welcome on my jumpseat at B6.

Cheers!

Southwest is always great!! I've honestly never, ever had a bad experience jumpseating with any carrier. I thank them all equally. It's great to hear when pilots go out of there way to accomodate others who have special plans at home, or elsewhere. We all know that the last thing pilots want to do is hang around an airport waiting for a the next flight.

Congrats aa73. The time does go by quickly. She is 4 and her brother is 14 months already. Enjoy your time off with the family. With this career we miss so much, that's why I was so thankful to both SW pilots. That was very unselfish of them. Apparently mdw to pit is a busy nonrev route.

Speaking of..Have not seen SWA/FO here lately. Did someone take him out?

the SWA/FO was lost in the moment.....let me wipe the tears from my eyes, the SWA/FO has 3 little girls at home not including the BOSS, so he understands the above posts.

the SWA/FO has been attending "too many games, golf outings and tailgates" to quote the BOSS.

GO BLUE!

We at WN do not refer to our FA's or anyone among us in derogetory terms. Flamin' may be a characteristic and represents diversity which we are ok with.

Uh, I don't know what your point it but ok. I could care less if the guy was flamin'....what I cared about was that he was a jacka$$.

Well there Sparky,

Diversity may be a term YOU are comfortable with but not me. I much prefer the smokin' hot babes of ole.
