Well not really..

Flatulence brought 99 passengers on an American Airlines flight to an unscheduled visit to Nashville early Monday morning.

American Flight 1053, from Washington Reagan National Airport and bound for Dallas/Fort Worth, made an emergency landing here after passengers reported smelling struck matches, said Lynne Lowrance, a spokeswoman for the Nashville International Airport Authority.

The plane landed safely. The FBI, Transportation Safety Administration and airport authority responded to the emergency, Lowrance said.

The passengers and five crew members were brought off the plane, together with all the luggage, to go through security checks again. Bomb-sniffing dogs found spent matches.

The FBI questioned a passenger who admitted she struck the matches in an attempt to conceal body odor, Lowrance said. The woman lives near Dallas and has a medical condition.

The flight took off again, but the woman was not allowed back on the plane.

"American has banned her for a long time," Lowrance said.

She was not charged but could have been. While it is legal to bring as many as four books of paper safety matches onto an aircraft, it is illegal to strike a match in an airplane, Lowrance said.

If the lady was wearing a Burka, would everybody's reaction be the same? Would the goverments? Before you answer, Think of T. McVeigh. Before you make assumptions, Im an American Hindu. More American than Hindu. Ive also got a beer gut and a pinch of Copenhagen to prove it

one guy, huh. 9/11 was 1 day... but Id never say that to anyone who lost a family member that day. Death penalty or not, all the conspirators of that horrific day have not paid the price. Ie T. Nichols.... Kinda like letting Bin Laden hang and let Zawahiri spend life in prison... No one can honestly tell me with a straight face that our reaction to OKC wouldve been the same if it was a foreign terrorist. It might have done us a favor as a country to take security more seriously, whether the terrorist was home grown or foreign.

Hey Whine,.Thanks for showing us your intellect, if it was an attempt at humor, then dont quit your day job....

Im no Islamic sympathizer, but as a person, I have lost 3 cousins to battling terrorism in Kashmir since 1989. India has lost over 60,000 innocents since then. The war on terror did not start on 911, its the point when we entered.
Kinda like arguing when WW2 started.

To answer the crew sched question,,, didnt sound like a southern accent to me on that tape..maybe it would with my cope juice on those shoes of yours.
