So I thought I would ask you all a question.

Have you personaly or have you known anyone that was terminated from a major airline and what was the outcome of his career.

Did they ever fly for another major again. Did they ever find a decent flying job again? Did they have to move onto another career field?

Depends if the were indeed terminated or asked or given the option to submit a resignation. Resignations will still allow you to carry a career in aviation. I know people who failed out of training and were asked to resign and now work for other carriers.

I echo above, but I know people who have been fired and are working in aviation. Not at another US major but overseas.

To many qualified applicants to chose from with no other issues.

The fact someone worked for a Major for a few months and then had to leave, "voluntarily" or not, is still going to have to be explained. And it better be good, IMO.
If they failed out of training, it shouldn't matter that they resigned or got fired. They need to do everyone a favor and find another line of work.

I know of a guy that was at SW and got fired from FlexJet and AA before he showed up here and got fired again.

Drinking in the security line.

Sharing an adult beverage with the passenger during flight while stripping naked.

Not deicing during winter ops.

Doing a single engine fly-by to check the gear.

Or flying 40 knots past Vmo to make a crossing restriction.

You take your pick. SWA does it all.
