I rather think that their customer support needs major improvement. The headsets seem ok. Never had an experience with Aviation Sennheisers although I wore out a few audio ones.Take that crappy Telex POS, accidentally drop it in the path of (a tug, an A-380, let a two year old play with it or whatever), submit an insurance claim and get some Sennheisers...
Guaranteed to be the best fix for telex headsets!
Bose has outstanding customer support and pricing. For a reasonable flat-fee (~ $150) I got the X repaired and electronically updated. I just wish they would add an aux audio input to the external battery unit. That would be almost orgasmic. Almost.
