Take that crappy Telex POS, accidentally drop it in the path of (a tug, an A-380, let a two year old play with it or whatever), submit an insurance claim and get some Sennheisers...

Guaranteed to be the best fix for telex headsets!
I rather think that their customer support needs major improvement. The headsets seem ok. Never had an experience with Aviation Sennheisers although I wore out a few audio ones.
Bose has outstanding customer support and pricing. For a reasonable flat-fee (~ $150) I got the X repaired and electronically updated. I just wish they would add an aux audio input to the external battery unit. That would be almost orgasmic. Almost.
