I know unions aren't perfect...they have their pros and cons...etc.......

...but is anyone surprised to hear the Teamsters did not know there were still guys on furlough at the airline I work for? How would you feel as a crewmember who paid dues that your union really does not have a clue what is going on?

Houston! Houston!......Uh oh, we lost contact with Houston.

Yeah, we are small potatoes.

I know how I feel while I watch my supposedly brother teamster pilots cross my picket line on the 6th day of our strike. Oh but wait they had a piece of paper from management that said it was OK.

I think it's obvious that Rhoid is in the FLL/MIA area.

I take it you are referring to Centurion flying Menlo freight while World was on strike. Piece of paper was not from management, however from the Teamsters. I was on furlough during this time period, however if your union is saying the freight is not struck, what are you supposed to do? I agree it wasn't the best case scenario, however the freight was not Worlds. Contract freight does not count as struck work in the unions eyes. This has been discussed in detail on this forum and most people agreed that it was not struck work. sorry.

If you want, PM me and I can send you the correspondence from the union.

I think Rhoid works for CAT.
