Typically you would if the states have income taxes. For example, when I moved from IN to NY I filed my wages I earned in IN with IN state, and my wages earned while in NY with NY state.
However, when I moved from NY to FL I only filled out NY (and only reported those wages I made in NY while in NY) because FL doesn't have a wage/income tax.
