Is anyone in the know whether or not it is more adavantageous to take your taxes to a person who specially handles pilot income, or say H and R block etc?? Just curious as this is my first completed year in the regional industry. I was just curious if they might take things into consideration such as daily food expenditures etc. etc.; and if this might make a difference come tax return time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with H&R Block when it comes to aviation taxes. I finally found an Accountant in my old state that was a pilot himself and understood everything that went into this profession. My suggestion would be talk to some ppl that have been in the airline for awhile (at your home base) They should be able to point out a good local accountant. Just my experience.
