Dear 1900 Laker;

You are right that sentence was a mess. During the cold war we , the Bi-Polar of the USA and USSR, used regional conflicts as means of indirectly fighting each other. Many a retire CIA agents have agreed that the our policy with the USSR has changed but as for the rest of the world we havenot.

Sir an empire wether a benevolent or evil is still an overimpossing entity. It serves the interest of itself and noone else.

Ifyou believe that all the NEWS sources to which you alluded are leftist , you must not know about Pacifica Radio. And if FOX is the only true source (we report you decide , yeah right ) that exist then we should thank an Aussie for that fact.

As for to posting. No this is not my first post, I had no idea that seniority applied to this board.
Nor my flighttime denotes the quality of my thoughts. Wether I am a liberal , moderate , conservative of fundamentalist is irrelevant.

After almost 16 months of reading this board I have come to the conclusion that most are pilots are very intelligent and thourough pros, but have a hardtime thinking out of the proverbial box.

Anyway the mannthra that the Main Street is liberal ( an oxymoron if there ever was one ) has become vapid. This country was made great by all Americans not just the Right ones.

PS Laker : Actually a book of synthax would had helped.

I'm not sure what the confusion is. The media didn't hide anything, and neither did the government. All the information was available a day after the incident, and was in all the papers that arrive at my place. It was also all over the internet. It's not new news. We're not putting people in camps, we're not rioting in the streets (we're doing that in Afghanistan, instead; putting the real drug lords back in power, in the process, incidentally...the same drugs that fuel and fund terrorism generally; but, I digress...).

Friday I left a building at the airport to go get a hamburger. I drove with another pilot. Returning to the building, which has a public access door, I saw two young men running from the building. They were at a slow run, like someone who has a ways to go and is late for a bus or a flight. Only, there was nowhere to run; no cars to run to, and they were leaving the building. Both had the appearance of being arab; typical complexion, apearance, etc. Both were in their late teens, or early 20's. (Is it just me, or with the exception of Dick Clark, are Americans the only ones that really show their age)?

Both of us commented that it appeared suspicious. Right or wrong, neither of us said or did anything more, and nothing seemed amiss. However, we probalby should have said something, and notified security. There were several vehicles parked nearby without anyone in them; no one would have known right away who the vehicles belonged to, and by then it would have been too late? Racial profiling or prejudice? Not really. However, given the current state of affairs, it did get our attention. (Apparently not enough; perhaps we were too focused on our burgers).

I will admit to reservations and a sense of caution around specific groups of people, weather based on ethnic, religious, political, gang, or other affiliation. I am not, however prejudiced, in the politically-incorrect sense.

I hate everyone equally. Or conversely, love them equally. However, one can feel toward one's fellow mankind and still exercise a measure of common sense and caution. There is nothing wrong with shaking a man's hand, while wondering what is behind his smile. It's prudent, it's wise, and it is necessary if one is to survive for very long is a room full of smiling people. (As for the ones who aren't smiling, either feed them or shoot them, or get them to smile. It's up to them). Far too much philosophy for me, for one day.

"Sufficient is the day, unto the evil, thereof."

Actually, as far as Fox is concerned, we can be thankful that Aussie Rupert Murdoch saw that America had a wonderful opportunity for his new ventures. He can thank the millions of Americans who saw that there was a vast difference between Fox (we report, and you won't be told what to think) and the mainstream media of the past 40 years (we report, our friends in the party tell us how, and you just accept) and this made Fox a rousing success.

America is not great becuse of all Americans, it is great because there are enough of us who don't want us to become another European style country; just another socialist state. If our continued greatness earns us the title "empire", then we will be the best empire possible.

Main street being liberal? That's the dream of the NEA and NOW.
By the way, did you know that there is an organization of women that numerically far outstrips that of NOW, that is NEVER interviewed by the mainstrem media? Know why? It's a Christian group, Concerned Women for America. If you're Christian, you have no voice in the mainstream media, even if you outnumber the so-called "feminists" by three to one.

I've found it's always better to be right, than wrong.
