Former Taca CEO Bloch murdered
Dateline: Wednesday April 28, 2004

Federico Bloch, the former CEO of Grupo Taca, was murdered Monday in El Salvador.

Bloch, 50, who had retired from the airline last week for personal reasons, was returning to the capital San Salvador from a beach home when his vehicle was struck by heavy gunfire, according to Reuters.
A statement on the airline's website honored "his valuable experience, professionalism, vision and leadership" during the 25 years he spent as CEO of the airline.

I'm suprised this didn't happen to Lorenzo. Not saying the employees at Taca did. How many people commited suicide after Eastern went down?

Actually two pilots did plot to kill him with a pipe bomb. They were both convicted and sent to jail. I believe it was during the continental debacle and not the eastern saga.
