Could you please tell your sister to file down her buck teeth.

It hurt when her head was going back and forth..........

That's very creative. Now just remember to not touch those TR's in your little girlie jet. Someday you too will have TR's (as well as pubic hair).

Like you have in your galatic transporter?

Cancel that request. Your mommie is filing them down to match hers. Sis will be a good as her when she's done.

;)

If the runway is 7000 ft long or less or if it's contaminated, use of THRUST REVERSERS (if I hear the media call these "reverse thrusters" one more time, I'll scream) in IDLE is approved.

Of course, in emergency situations (to prevent a runway excursion, etc.) FULL reverse thrust can be used. At no time can an intermediate setting of reverse thrust be used.

Something about excessive wear on the actuators has driven this policy (perhpas they're an economy version). In reality, the reverser funds that we were paying out has just been shifted to brake replacement.
So how much of that money, that management is saving, are they paying you guys?

You expect correct grammar and spelling? How dare you. This is the regional board frequented by those who lack higher education and shoot the neighbors' pets for entertainment.

I know, I know!

You nailed it. Whenever I mention that to some guys, it's like a deer caught in headlights. Yup, keep on saving money for those guys; they appreciate your effort, they really do.

What the managers do with our profits is disgusting. However the more money we save them, the more leverage we have when asking for a rasie. Just ask the AA guys, they want a 50% pay rasie, and they are using all of their money saving tactics as leverage.

This is an EMB only policy.

You guys are all waaaaaaaaaay off. the reason why you only open the buckets is for the "break wear" on the carbon fiber breaks. Embraer says that the carbon fiber breaks last longer when they are brought to high temps. doesnt make any sense to me..but thats what embraer says

I think that was said earlier, but if not you are correct. But yeah it does not make much sense to me either.

This is universal for all carbon brakes, not just Embraer. Wear is per application, and that per application wear is lessened with the brakes at high temperature. It's the same stuff as the Shuttle's thermal tiles - not bullet proof at room temperature, but happy to bake all day at 100's of degrees C.

Carbon can accept very much higher temperature than steel (2500C instead of 1200C) before encountering severe limitations in performance.

On page 26 of the second link is a good chart of carbon brake wear vesus temperature. For one model (BFG) wear peaks at 80C, and then plunges as temperature increases, bottoming out at about 315C. They like to be hot, within reason.

I may have bad grammar skills, but I am not so naive as to believe that managers will be more inclined to give you a raise because you saved them sooo much money.

No, that is not what I said. But it gives you a leg to stand on while entering negoations. Just as the AA pilots with APA are doing right now in section 6 talk. "So you dont want to give us a raise? Well guess it is back to two engine taxi for 'safety'."
