Sounds like a field of dreams approach. Not holding my breath that this will work. Might just be a ploy to get re-elected and then dump the whole deal once elected. Not caring about the people counting on these jobs. Hope it works, but wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

If things work out you will find SPN to be cool place , still is one of the best layovers at DAL.

Vision is going to fly from SPI, RFD to RSW replacing DirectAir with Punta Gorda losing out.

Sky King had 2 planes flying for them...nobody seemed overly concerned. The planes have already been moved to Miami where they apparently have plenty of flying available for them.

Xtra was also flying for Direct Air and this will hurt for them. There is also an MD80 operator that flew for Direct Air...World Atlantic (???maybe).

The MD80 operator might have been Dynamic Airways in GSO...they dumped the MD's and have a 767 now...

It was Dynamic last summer, but World Atlantic had been doing it for a few weeks until last week.
