As usual, our MEC (ATA) hasn't told us anything about what happened at the meeting. Have the SWAPA reps given any info about the meeting to the SWA pilots?

Just curious. Maybe something really exciting happened, like all the reps got drunk and engaged in a bar room brawl. Or maybe they all sat around, held hands, and sang "Kumbaya."

Who knows. If we have to wait for info from our MEC, we probably never will...

I copied this. Apologies to Ray.

The SWAPA MEC meeting was just that, a SWAPA MEC meeting. ATA was invited as a courtesy, a meet and greet so that names and faces would match. No official discussions took place regarding any possible future ATA integration or SWA business concerns.

The dinner later that night revealed only a little more. The general consensus from the SWAPA MEC was that the code share deal with ATA was good for SWA and they did not oppose it in principle. the SWAPA MEC was in favor of continuing the codeshare and expanding it where it did not take flying away from the SWA pilots. No integration or merger rumors were discussed, at least from what I have been told.

This was the jest of it.

Just as I predicted.
