No, I'm not kidding you. My information is obtained from talking to our MEC members and getting their opinions. Yours is from FI. Which, in all likelihood is more accurate?

DC10,

I'm not trying to be disrespectful. Do you think that the MEC is NOW ready to send this out to the pilots for a vote....after they voted 7-1 against it?

I'm confused. Gary says that offer is off the table. Gone.

Please tell me you have different info.

RF

If you have to ask, then you probably shouldn't know.

Try telling that to the members of the Other Airline Dorks Club that will soon be spouting off on yet another AAI-SWA thread.

Even though your Mom tried with you, you just can't polish a turd, and it seems the SWAPA propsal was just that according to the overwhelming MEC vote. The bottom 60% at Airtran going to the BOTTOM 20% at SWA? No F'n way!

OYS

I bet even at a bar that closes at 4 am your still to ugly of a chick to ever get picked up. I am guessing BOB is your best friend and lover when your not on FI

Well DC10

For good bad or indifferent reasons our guys are leaders. They wouldn't let a bunch of pi$$ed off pilots on a forum sway their decision. Hence the vote in favor of SL9.

If the Airtran MEC is that easily swayed then you all elected the wrong group. Sorry.

If the MEC voted yes then there would be no time left to negotiate before arbitration

Umm. OK. If you vote yes, what's left to negotiate and why would it go to arbitration... That's probably the dumbest quote I've read in weeks.

The vote was only within the AirTran ALPA leadership and it was whether to allow the AirTran pilots the opportunity to vote or not. Unfortunately (in my opinion), it was voted down 7-1.

"Other Airline Dorks Club", are they ALPA too?

Let's see...Delto and Alasko...both Alpo.

Truthfully, I never put it together before you mentioned it. Kind of ironic.

Max the Mec yes vote would start the roadshows to inform the pilot group about the SL.
That would take up the month that could instead be used to further negotiate and close loop holes.

My guess is you were never told this by a rep which I and many others were which triggered our no vote emails.

What did the reps tell you when you asked questions?

Still amazes me. SWA brings $billions to AirTran pilots and all they give back is greed and entitlement. You guys are willing to sacrifice nothing. Sure, you're happy to double your pay, but unwilling to give up anything in return. How exactly is that fair aand equitable? What exactly do you bring to the table besides seniority?
