slaquer 5, I am pretty sure GK is still driving. That does not mean the kids in the back will stop screaming though.

You highlighted the told / sold, but that is the truth. I did my part by asking questions and when answers varied greatly that usually means the truth is distorted.

We soon shall all know before Sept 30th. I would say by announcing that the deal will be worse than the first is not the proper way to avoid arbitration but I understand it is necessary to avoid future contract rejections in hopes of something better.

My bet is the 2 MC meet and work it out as arbitration is uncertain for both sides.
 
Why did the NC jerk GK & co. around for 2 extra weeks, saying that they just want to get the language correct ( i s dotted, t s crossed). AT/ALPA had no intentions of putting this out for a vote. All you guys did was Fuk with GK for two weeks to see how much of a fool he is. I am still waiting to see if ALPA is in the drives seat or GK. My past experience with the man is someone I would never take for a fool.
Like i said before, step back and put yourself in GK shoes,what would you do?


It's presumptive, badly spun information like this that incorrectly makes the AT pilots look bad. ALPA took 2 weeks to try to close some of the holes in SL9, most of which were big enough to drive a truck through.

The MEC was almost certainly going to put this out to vote. Unfortunately it's human nature to be more vocal when you're dissatisfied with something (hence FlightInfo's reason for existence), and those who were against the deal being sent out were more outspoken than those who wanted to vote on it which swayed the MEC vote in their favor.

Nobody's screwing GK around. Really.... do you honestly believe they would even attempt that?
 
No, I'm not kidding you. My information is obtained from talking to our MEC members and getting their opinions. Yours is from FI. Which, in all likelihood is more accurate?

So this was all a misunderstanding? The MEC was absolutely going to send it for a vote, but a small minority of loudmouths talked them into voting 7-1 against. Um, ok. That sounds believable. Can we get a do-over?

Even though your Mom tried with you, you just can't polish a turd, and it seems the SWAPA propsal was just that according to the overwhelming MEC vote. The bottom 60% at Airtran going to the BOTTOM 20% at SWA? No F'n way!
