Vegas, you may be on to something. Though to be honest, I'm not sure how receptive SWAPA would be in the end without Frontier as part of the deal. From Reuters off of CNBC.com

"It's not exactly a dead deal yet." In a call with reporters, executives said they were keen to retain Lynx Aviation, a Frontier subsidiary serving 15 regional markets around Denver. Kuwitzky said SWAPA has started talks with pilots with Frontier's Lynx Aviation unit and said his union would look to strike a similar deal with them. This snippet is part of a full article which still seems to be reporting old news...that the whole deal is alive and Lynx is part of it (It was release at 5:47pm...before we started hearing the deal was dead).

It would be a great idea to use Lynx Dash-8-400s on all Intra-Texas routes. It would probably make them more profitable. Then, you can add them in MDW, for shorter routes to MSP, DTW, CLE etc. Additionally, you can add them to LAS routes, maybe to RNO, PHX, BUR, ONT, etc--anything that can't fill a 735. Maybe then you can add some to BWI, and ditch the older 733s---and just add new Dashes. Sure, the overall payrates come down, but you can be more profitable, and management can get larger bonuses. Go for it! Look at CAL doing the same thing in EWR. Hey, maybe you can add EWR from BWI on the Dash! Fantastic...

Bye Bye--General Lee
