As the "freehobby" people here are saying- rationality is out the window- barely even a factor- so if you haven't signed the petition- do so-

Rationality? You mean like claiming you'll create 10,000 jobs and add 1.6 billion to the economy? You guys have been rational? Please.

*And SWA has lied about how it's to be funded as well! This isn't just UAL trying to get their way. People have started to wake up to SWA's way of doing business, and they are figuring out it's BS...

Houston has to decide if they are in the sun tan oil, or crude oil business.

Why not both? Houston is second only to NYC for fortune 500 companies HQ's. In fact it may be nice to get some of the ash and trash over to Hobby, so that the corporate platinum travelers don't have to have some hung over kid puking on them.

And what are they figuring out about how United does business??
The talking points you claim as fact don't answer why united is trying to hold current jobs as hostages- its loud and clear- "let us keep our near monopoly or else"

We said it best a while ago- "I'm sure whatever numbers the HAS study came up with, United would take exception"

All we want is you at IAH. We'll roll out the red carpet for you.
Which would be great if all SWA wanted to do was fly passengers from Houston to international destinations. But what SWA wants to do is also fly connecting passengers to international destinations from Houston. So unless you can figure out a way for SWA to to get the connecting passengers from Hobby to IAH then SWA isn't going to IAH. Also if SWA isn't allowed to fly international into Hobby it is still going to fly international, it will just be from AUS or SAT.

Looks like its been said- you want to weaken the competition by getting local government to ATTEMPT to force us up to IAH-
International is coming for swa- whether united likes it or not- you can't pay off every city- and from what I hear, AUS and SAT are biting at the opportunity to be the international jump off- those cities are smaller with less business- but they are far and away, better cities in better locations than Houston, and would love the boost to their local economy- Houston doesn't hold SWAs future in their hands- they can work with us, or against- their call-
Swa is not in the same corporate position as when wright went down-

If SWA wins? City of Houston is screwed. The 787, A380, 744 and even 777s are going to leave IAH.

Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!

 You really should ask your doctor if thorazine is right for you.
