All instructors believe something big is about to go down. Training is adding eight new instructors and a large number of new check airman. Could some of the senior check airman be leaving to another aircraft?

Separating the FOM and AOM could be an indication of another aircraft coming.

They are also currently looking at expanding current training center or building a complete new one.

Eight whole instructors, huh? That would be about right to replace the ones who quit from being worked to the bone. After all, a lot of these guys are retired pilots who aren't quite ready to go work in the garden. But their current workload is way more than they signed up for.

All sim bays are accounted for. IF they are looking at an additional aircraft type they will need more simulator room.

You realize the building was built to keep building toward the runway? They could put another ten or fifteen sims in that building if they expanded it North, just like they did last time.

Eight instructors is nothing, and probably to account for the retirees who quite after finding they had to work eight or more hours a day.

Please, do NOT fall for the rumor of the week from the sim palace, those guys are paid to spill tidbits of false hope at every chance they get. It only took the pilots 40 years to realize this.

True statement. Largest capacity shift in SWA history will happen as a result of the WA, new slots and int'l.
