How come SWA hardly has any commutable trips?
In addition to the am/pm thing, I believe it has to do with utilization and efficiency of the pilots. The commutable lines don't pay nearly as well; hence they are not built in great numbers.
I commute out of BNA. Every month I look at the commutable lines. There will be one line with 3 weeks commutable, 3 lines with one week commutable; and that's it. I still look, but usually, it is LGA and EWR overnites on the second day (of a 3-day) that are the only commutables.
