Does anyone have any info if SWA is going ahead with this change in the interview process. Will it be the standard 2 pilot 1 HR person or will they add the real world type situation in the sim with a full crew.

I was told in Decmember, by rebekah, that the SBI was definitely in the new process. There were still details to be worked out, but basically it was a CRM decision making drill in a paper cockpit type environment. You would get an opportunity to critique your own mistakes in a debrief situation. Which tells me that you really can't make any mistakes other than to not recognize your own problem areas.

Since it was somewhat patterned after the FedEx process, I would imagine anyone who went through it there would have the scoop

From what one of the asst. chief pilots told me the interview process will now be an all day affair. There will be 2 sessions, one the old style with 2 pilots & a rep from the PD. The other session will be in the 200 sim (it no longer is full motion) & CPTs where you will do the situational interview with 2 pilots. So if you have the old style in the morning you will do the situational in the afternoon, if you are scheduled for the old style in the afternoon you will do the situational in the morning.
