I have several questions for Chase or another qualified individual regarding life with SWA.

1. What are the junior bases

2. Is commuting allowed for new hires.

3. Is there any advantage to using a particular school to get the type rating and is the series of aircraft important. I am aware of HPA, but there are others that are geographicaly easier for me to access.

Thanks for your help.

questions/answers

Oakland is the junior base for new pilots....however...with the large number of classes bidding for domicle at once....a few might catch MDW or BWI.

SWA has communting rules....give yourself two geniune chances....

Get your type at the cheapest place you can....it's your money. When I looked around Crew Training in Houston was the cheapest....

Junior bases = OAK, BWI.

Commuting = New hires can commute right from the start. Must give yourself 2 chances to get to your base. Also, family have PNR passes right from the start.

Advantages for type school = Not really, like airlinepilot said. your money.

Biggest thing I think, pre-interview prep.

Good luck.
