flyinglow: I just returned from my interview at SWA and can honestly say that it was a great experience. The People Dep. rep told us at the beginning of the day that their goal was to make us want to work at Southwest twice as bad as when we showed for the interview. It worked, and in spades. The process was outstanding, the people were great, and the folks in my interview group were top shelf. The next 6 weeks will be looooooong.
As to the type, you have to ask yourself if you really want to get the call for interview at SWA. If you do, it's a hands down "yes". The competition is fierce. I count myself as blessed knowing how many great pilots and applicants are out there waiting for the phone to ring.
I got mine at HPA a year ago and can't say enough good things about that place. Solid, solid people. A couple of the guys in my interview group and several people on this board have great things to say about K&S out in Phoenix too. I think the bottom line is to have your ticket stamped in the 737. The "above and beyond" service at HPA is what made me go to them.
Best wishes...
