SWA Pool Accuracy

With the lack of responses of poolies getting called for the January class I was wondering about the accuracy of the pool listed here. I know it isn't official. Anyone want to venture a guess as to how many people are in the pool that have never been on flightinfo, and therefore not on our list?

Historically, it has been 60 - 70% give or take. There has been numerous posts in the past on the magic formula. For the Jan 12th class, it looks like it may be very accurate considering Santini (#19 on the unofficial list) got the call for a class of 20. We sure would like to hear from some of the others, especially those first 10 on the list. Your intentions, while none of our business, would be of great interest to many.

Chode is close to the top of the list, and while I have no idea of his plans, I can confirm he is currently employed by Jet Blue.

Accuracy

There are probably (as Pegasus pointed out), several folks within the pool who are having tough decisions to make....leave their current job at a major airline that has hired them (JB, Airtran, ATA, FEDEX, etc) & come to SWA. With the amount of seniority some of these folks may have acquired in the interim, it will be a tough decision.

I'm sure phone calls have gone out & the PD is awaiting word back from them. I have NO idea how long the decision can be mulled over until a response is required but needless to say with the holidays coming up, there are many variables out there that maybe slowing down the process for notifying folks & then going on to the next person to call.

Enjoy the holidays & await further word. For those near the top & to all the poolies your patience will be rewarded. Hang in there. If the list hasn't been filled out by now I'm sure it will be shortly after the holidays. There is still plenty of time to fill it. Good luck to all,

I can only hope that those who have a job with another company and are offered a class at SWA make a decision and stick to it. I've known several dudes that accepted class dates (not at SWA) then simply no showed on the first day of class when they decided to stay with their current job. Talk about screwing the next guy in line.
