Heard from a friend, who has a friend that got called for a interview in July. He DOES NOT HAVE the 737 Type Rating yet. Mid 2500 hrs, single seat military guy (so I assume most of that time is PIC)

Just for reference. There is hope for those without the type.

And just a humble tip for those possibly furloughed/out of work from a BK career etc... Just because you have a bazillion 737 hours, SWA doesn't owe you a job. Be humble.

IMHO; SWA hires the person, not the qualifications.
 
I had also heard there is going to be a new interview process as well. Anyone have more information about how it might be?

Hi. What is a 'pool date' for someone who has a type already? Is it the date of the interview or is it the date when they get through the review board?

The day a CP calls you and says "congratulations we would like you to continue in the process".
 
Retroactive to your interview date if you had the type when interviewed. Otherwise, the day you get the type if you didn't have it.
