Once a decision has been made to hire people, are the names posted in the crew lounge and can current SWA pilots nix pilot candidates (ie go to chief pilot's office and tell HR folks why you shouldn't hire such and such person)

I know JetBlue has this policy - I'm just wondering if SWA does.

I have a checkairmen I had a problem with at a past job who is there, I'm just curious as to what sort of damage could occur.

Thanks in advance to anyone there who can answer,

FCN

We know who is interviewing and are highly encouraged to say something no matter if it is positive or negative. The list is on the internet available to all SWA pilots 24/7...so becareful : ) I have seen it...both the good and the bad. While I probably would never be the type to write a bad recommendation I have seen buddies that have. I think it's bad karma...but it does happen.

I bad letter is not the end of the course. They way all the inputs.

At SWA the list in the lounge is for interviewees, not who has been hired. I've gone in and gave a good word or online rec for someone I knew on the list but have yet to slam anybody I didn't like (because I haven't run into one on the list yet).

another word NAZI...thanks for calling me out. Sorry, for the mistake. I went to public schools.

hypothetically...

what if you share the same name with someone that is on the "$hit list" of an employee and they inadvertently think you are that guy.

Do they (the hiring folks...DB, PD ect) ask for certain info to make sure you're condeming/recomending the right guy?

neither has happened to me

Just curious...

Please do me and the rest of your fellow SWA brethren a huge favor by not hesitating to call a tool a tool. If a guy (or gal) was a jerk at your previous gig, he/she WILL be a jerk here too. Torpedoing an applicant over a past personality conflict is bad karma. Torpedoing a bonafide jerk is "Just Plane Smart!" I'm sure you can tell the difference...
