Got my interview set up for January, and I got the packet in the mail yesterday. I was looking through it and in the logbook review part it says to tab certain areas one of which is type rating entries. I never logged any sim time or anything like that in my logbook. Has anyone else run across this or am I the only one who doesn't log this sort of thing? Should I still tab the page as to when I did my type even though there is no entry there? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Having just interviewed last week, I think what they are looking for is just the verification of their minimum requirements...it's pretty laid back...not at all like some of the nightmare stories I have heard from UAL interviews where you are on the hotseat and have to defend everything in your logbook. So, tab the flight where you went above 1000 PIC, 2500 turbine, etc...that's what I did. If you got the type in a sim, I would just have all the appropriate paperwork that shows the sim time and checkride completion. All they seem to want is making sure it all flows logically, the math looks right, and that you actually meet their mins. You want this part to go quickly so you can have more time to talk about you and how much you want to work there...then again I'm not hired yet, so take my 2 cents for what it's worth. Good luck!

I had the same issue when I interviewed. I just made photocopies of my company flight check results and stuck them with my logbooks. Listen to Daddy, just make it look presentable. I am still not convinced they even looked at my logbooks!! It is very, very, very, very laidback. It will be a great day for you, so enjoy!

I interviewed yesterday. Just relax and be yourself. I did have my logbook tabed per instructiions from the packet. I just used a label maker to make it look professional. If you can make a spreadsheet on excel or something that made his job easier and he liked that. My suggestion is to tab your logbook when you received the type and have supporting papers to back it up. Good luck, when you're done with the interview you will want to work there even more.
