Does anyone know the ratio of nontyped guys getting a interview as compared to typed applicants? I applied about 3 months ago and was wondering if there is any chance of getting a call.

I've been typed since April and have 500 hours FO (and counting) in type and my phone is quiet. I think things are going slow for the holiday's but I would expect (hope) for a conversation at the first of the year with the increase at MDW, PHL etc...

...or maybe not.

I believe the number of non-typed interviewees is very small; I do know of a few. There are over 2,000 applicants in the system with a type rating, and the number is growing rapidly. Higher Power is running them through at more than a dozen a class. Sorry I can't offer you a rosier picture, but that's what happens when a company becomes nearly the only game in town.

Cheers

Get in line with the rest of us typed pilots, that are "Still Waiting"

If you have a type in the F-16 you may get an interview without the 737 type.TC

CRJ...I think your Avtar is the problem...it's...threating!

Bevis and Butthead dredge up memories (good/bad? Not sure) of the crackhouse crashpads (anyone ever ride the Dollar rent-a-car shuttle over there?) in MIA off of 9R commuting from DTW on reserve to fly 10 hours a week. B&BH kept us laughing and things in perspective.

Spoke with Southwest HR person at Higher Power "infomercial".... without a type...probably late 2005. If you want any chance of getting an interview earlier, you will need to get the type rating or have some serious heavy hitters for LOR's.

PFI - Pay For Interview

I guess SWA gets what they pay for, or should I say "pilots are willing to pay for."

Sad.

kilroy,

I have 2,500+ hrs in 737's. No type, put in an app with SWA as soon as they started taking them in this last go around. No word. You have a better chance with jetBlue

Thanks for the input on this thread . Looks like I need to pony up sell the farm and get a type rating . Looking into higher power right now.....thanks guys
