SWA May classes?

I got the call yesterday for the may 3rd class....applied 8/04..typed 3/05..call to interview 11/05..interviewed 12/13/05.....call with good news 1/17/06....hope this info helps and good luck to all!!!!!

Does Kims last name: start with a U? I hate to try to spell how it sounded on the phone....Ulenhawker? Anyways....she called and left a voice mail for me to call her today. I didn't get it till just now....1907 cdt....Does she do anything on the phone besides asign classes? Just wondering...wasn't expecting it this soon if it is....but I sure will take it!!!....I'll call her in the morning to see. Anyone else get called?

Talked to Kim today also. May 10th class is the verdict. Interviewed on 11 Jan for this particular start date. Hope this helps those of you counting the days to determine your class. Anyone else starting on the 10th, PM me and say hello. Peace.

Actually spoke to KU on Thurs. and I too got the confirmation on 10 May. Can't wait to join the Family!!!! Thanks to everyone on this and other threads for all of the good info. I am sure I will have many more questions as time passes.

No firm numbers....I know only the interview numbers from that day...hard to track actual numbers.....you called SW PD? I know they give out very little data....maybe they will give you an idea. When I called they gave me no indication...just that I was in the pool.

One other person who interviewed with me (2/15) got an indication it could be late-May/ early June. I spoke with JB a couple of weeks ago and she said sometime in June. I'm hoping for late-May though. Thanks again.

They were always very conservative with what they gave me too. Called last Tuesday and was told to expect May 17....called the next day for 10 may start. Before that every time I talked to them I was told to expect a June start. So be happy with a start at all....and be very happy with an early one. None of us have anything on the guys/gals from a couple years back that waited years.
BTW....I am the only one from my interivew date with that class....none of the others had the type yet....from what I understand you don't get in line until you get the type. So things may move quicker than you think they will. Just my .02.

I have know idea about the amount of interviews from mine to mid FEB. I have friends who interviewed the first week of FEB who are like me just happy to be waiting.

Just wondering if getting your contacts called is an essential step to get to the decision board? I would assume getting your contacts called is good and not is bad. I have heard of other applicants in my interview class are getting their contacts called...None of mine have been called yet...It that bad? Or is it too early? Or, is it no big deal...I'm starting to freak out! Thanks A. Weiner

Why are you reading this board? I told you - you'll get the call next week for the 3rd May class. No go back to work and make some boat payment money, we have wake boarding to do.

By the way, your not a line pilot yet, you're still a "CP", you'll be a line pilot after IOE.

There is some great info from many before us on the Refs getting called or not. Not the expert....but getting refs called is a good thing. However, many stories of those that didnt get refs called and still offered the job. I know your pain.....I wish you the best. I am very lucky to have entered the pool. It is a long road.....with a great finish....fingers crossed for you.
