I have a 22" x 14" inch Purdy Neat Stuff roller bag. I'm about to send it out to be rebuilt and the lady from Purdy neat stuff said that I will need a 13" wide bag to fit on SWA Planes. Is this true or can I make my 14" bag work?

Thanks

I am always able to wiggle mine in but it does show the wear on the sides but who cares...since my pubs bag looks so new I like having a little wear on my suitcase to take the shine off my newness at SWA. Welcome and enjoy the trip.

Where do you guys put the bag? Is it just alot easier to pony up for the 13" one? Will I be frustrated later if I spen the money to refurb my 14" one?

We put them under the 2nd jumpseat. Usually FO's go in first and then the Captains goes on top. Plenty of guys have 14" I'm sure, apparently you just can't put anything in the side pockets. I have a 13" and it fits easily.

Why not just wait on the refurbish, use the one you have for a few months and if it is really a pain, buy the new one, otherwise do the refurbish then.

Go to costco and get their roller bag. It costs 90$ and fits well in all of the airplanes. When it wears out, you take it back and they give you a new one! it also holds more than my former pnt bag

Thanks for the info, I'll try to make my current one last a couple of more months.

As stated. The 14 inch fits easily... just can't put anything (at all) in the sides. Don't buy another bag. My 14 inch fits snugly, but the jumpseat doesn't complain.

You'll already be popping for flight bags, uniforms, leather coats, etc... I already had a rollerbag and I think my total bill was around a grand. Still waiting for my leather coat.

You like serious, Bro? Dats freaking awesome! Gotta get on down to the Cost-Co.

Speaking of flight bags can I use my old beat up one with tape all over it or do I have to buy one when I get there. Do the vendors give us any good deals?

Thanks again everyone, sorry for all the questions I'm just trying to budget because my wife's car is about to blow up, just like my roller bag it needs alot of repair.

You best bet is to call PNT and order the 14" bag without the side pockets. The cost is exactly the same, & they fit perfectly in the LUV bins. You can't put much in those side pockets anyway. That is what most of the guys in my LUV new hire class ended up doing and they work great on line.
