I'm hearing one a week in Jan...just rumor though...it won't take long though I bet

Just to add to that rumour....I also heard max bodies in each class....They may even have some New Hires leaning against the wall in the classroom.

GOD LUCK, I hoped for the same thing. Of course my group is already done with IOE I would assume.

Sorry to get off subject here guys / gals... I got the thumbs-up and now I need to get a type quickly so I can go to class too. Where did you all go for a no-BS quick / inexpensive experience? Anyone try FTI? How about K&S? I know HPA is good, just trying to come up with some more choices. Thanks. Congrats & I hope to see you all out on the line one day! PM me if you want.....

I got typed by K&S in DAL. Great operation. Great guys, all SWA instructors and retired SWA pilots. Everything is done in the SWA training center. I would recommend K&S.

Murano, Congrtas! I was in your shoes recently. I went to FTI in DEN. It cost $6500.00 for the type and hotel. You can do it there in 10 to 11 days. I called them on a Monday and was sitting in class that Sunday. Your only concerns at this point are how much is it and how fast can I get it done. I thought they also did a good job. I have many friends that went to HP and they are very good from what I hear, just consider what would serve you best. Good Luck!

Get it done ASAP. We had guys waiting for class when 9/11 hit. They waited another YEAR before classes resumed.

Gup

Gup

My wait was over 2 years after 9/11. Probably would of only been a year if I had the type when I interviewed.

Congrats Murano.

I went to Crew Pilot Training in Houston. CrewPilotTraining.com It was the quickest one I could get and the price was competitive. Uses CAL sims and had a deal with a local hotel. Of course HP is very highly regarded, I just couldn't get scheduled there quickly enough.

Good luck.

Anyone out there from the October DB still waiting on a class date? Is the order they call based on the date you interview? Another post mentioned a chief pilot saying they would be through the pool by the end of January.

I interviewed in Sep. and typed in November. The day I dropped off my temporary certificate Diane told me to expect a January class since you are called to class based on your interview date or type rating date wichever is later.

I went to aeroservice in Miami. If your doing your training this winter it might be just the place. You can stay in the Holiday Inn and walk to class. $6800

For those trying to plan out their class dates....

Me and Irish (bless him) interviewed on Sept. 21, and I'm in the December 27th class. The slacker... er.. "Irish"... is in, I believe, the Jan. 3 class. Now I'm not sure, but I think that September 21 was the last day that they did interviews that month. Everyone from my interview date got either December 27 or Jan 3 class dates. That should mean that they have awarded classes to everyone that was in the October decision board. You November guys should (according to my math, which is notoriously bad) be filling up the remaining classes in January.
