Can anyone provide some insight on how Southwest would look at a busted check ride 7years ago. Don't believe it would show up during a PRIA check but I want to be up front about it.

tell them what happened and what you learned from it and the changes you made to make yourself a better pilot.

Disclose, disclose, disclose. I had a LOI 7 years ago. talked to the interviewer about it and he seemed satisfied. i am currently in the pool. when my background check came back, the LOI was not on it.

they will ask

I just received an interview date and my paperwork came this morning. There is a 'logbook review instructions' page that specifically tells you to tab your log book at any failed checkrides

Tell them it was a bunch of BS why you failed it and it was probably the evaluators fault. They like to hear and see an attitude like this.

Had a buddy of mine recently hired with two failed checkrides and some trouble with the law. He was upfront with everything and told them what he learned from it.

It might not be in your company records, but it is still probably in you FAA record.

I would just tell them what happened and how you learned from it. Nobody is perfect and they know that.
