I have an interview in Jan. and my logbok was stolen recently. I have the police report. I can pretty much prove 90% of my time through crew logs, check rides etc. but I still can't sccount for about 450hrs. Even though with what I can prove I still have all required times, how negatively will it look to the interviewer.

Like you had your stuff stolen, it happens. I would recreate as much as I could in another new logbook and compile it all in one place. Anybody else you know could vouch for flying xyz hours here or there, that might be helpful. Get a statement from them perhaps?

Maybe you could contact the FAA to get a copy of your 8710's...don't know how long that would take, though...

I would also call the PD and ask them for advice. The above suggestions sound like a good place to start, but the BEST answer would come from them.

You could also check with your AME to get last medicals total time etc.... Of course if your like me you just put 10k hours and 400 hrs last six months. The feds are probably wondering why I haven't flown in years!
