Thought I would try to get an idea of who is waiting for a class and their interview dates.

my interview date 10/11/05

Dec 6 interview, continue call on Jan 15, drug test Jan 17, PRIA records showed up last week. . . they say this is the easy part but. . . . . . .

Interviewed 9 Nov. Got the call 17 Jan (first DB canceled). I've heard calls are going out for two classes in March (see "SWA Mar classes" thread).

Anyone know how many people are in the typical class? I was told in Jan that if there were three classes in March the pool would be empty. After that they'd start drawing from the folks picked up on the Jan DB.

A buddy of mine was told there's a 3-4 month wait in the pool when he went to the Higher Power lunch last week. That's all the rumors and half truths I know for now. :)

Called PD yesterday and found out I should be in 1st class in April (actually date TBD). I interviewed on Oct 17th. Should expect a call early March for the April class. Hope this helps.

I talked with PD yesterday also and was told I am slated for the last class in March barring any delays with classes or people. They would know for sure in a week or two. Interview date 10-11-05

I interviewed on 21 Sep (call to continue on 18 Oct). I was told by PD last week to expect first class in April; with a TENTATIVE date of 05 Apr. Kim U stated that there could be anywhere from 1-3 classes in April; then she said if no-one retires and we won't get any jets from Boeing - we might not have any classes in April! At any rate, I am not available to SWA prior to April but people who interviewed same day or close to it are being put in March classes. Kim said calls to go out next week for those guys.

Gotta - see you there!

She said that because when the boeing strike hit we stopped getting airplanes and they did delay classes a couple of months. Then, wham, 3 classes in Nov and 2 in Dec. Traditionally SWA has no classes or just one during that period.

As for no one retiring, that is a funny. Unless over 60 legislation is further along than I thought. But it is something to consider. Plan on an average of 140 retirements every year for over 5 years. After that it varies but is over 100 a year. Probably more for someone junior to me since we don't see info behind us on the union website. Yes, SWA has hired over 50 folks and many, many late 40ish folks.

September 21 interview date, same as FatBoy. KU said last week that I should expect the March 22 class. Calls for the March 8 class should begin this week...after the Super Bowl. Go Steelers!
